The “Constantin Parfene” School
The “Constantin Parfene” School is a primary and lower secondary public school located in the municipality of Vaslui, Romania. The school has 650 students, aged between 6 and 15 years old, divided into 27 classes, 15 for primary education and 12 classes for secondary education. The students are educated by a qualified teaching staff (50 teachers), open to collaboration, exchange of experiences and ideas with teachers from other countries. The school building was built in 1893, it is part of the National Heritage and it offers a modern, safe and functional space for carrying out a high quality educational process.
Pupils are actively involved in local, national and European educational projects, which contribute to the development of key competences, with emphasis on transversal ones, to the development of their personality, creativity and communication skills in both mother tongue and foreign languages.
The “Constantin Parfene” School is recognized in the local community as an institution that offers high quality education, ensuring an inclusive environment and equal development opportunities for all students, open to collaboration with institutions and organizations with a role in education.
The school has a rich experience in the implementation of European collaborative partnerships as a result of the 6 Erasmus + projects carried out as well as the activities organised for pupils and teachers within the school’s Erasmus + accreditation project. The “European School” certificate, received in the national competition with the same title, four times in a row (2011, 2014, 2017, 2022), was a recognition of the impact that the activities carried out within European projects has had on the organizational culture and ethos of the school.
