Virtual workshop for teachers – application digital tools and apps in Arts and ICT
As part of the Erasmus+ project Digital Powered Teaching, a virtual training and workshop for teachers was held for teachers in partner countries (Romania, Greece, Croatia and Cyprus).
The purpose of the training was to transfer the acquired competencies in the use of digital tools during teacher training in Cyprus to a wider circle of teachers in partner schools during the virtual training;
During the training, guides for using the following digital tools were presented:
- Socrative – a tool for assessing knowledge through questionnaires and quizzes
- Elementor – a graphic editor for editing a website
- GIF maker, GIF editor – a tool for creating animations
Tutorials for using 3 digital tools that will lead to the improvement of digital teaching skills. The workshop was attended by teachers who are members of the project teams of partner countries, art teachers, ICT teachers and other interested teachers of partner schools.
During the virtual workshop, the curriculum for 4 workshops for students during their mobility in Croatia was coordinated with the application of the mentioned tools. The programs and teaching methods from the four teaching units are designed using the learned digital technology through joint international team cooperation, which will be implemented during 3 physical international workshops with students in Croatia:
- Introduction to WordPress and Elementor editor – basic website design with Elementor
- Thematic web page design and development in international teams
- Artistic animations with GIF maker, GIF editor
- Workshops on sustainable development activities for children
- (evaluation of acquired competencies using the socrative application)

According to the number of participants, the virtual trening and workshop meeting exceeded all the parameters planned in the project application. Before the event, tutorials were created which were presented during the workshop and virtual platform prepared for meeting. With the lecturer’s instructions, the participants mastered the use of the presented digital tools. An evaluation questionnaire was prepared for the participants of the workshop, the high scores of which show the success of the conducted trenning and workshop according to all parameters. Certificates for attending were generated for all participants, attendance lists and an evaluation questionnaire were filled out.
