Virtual workshop for teachers – digital tools and apps in Languages and Health Education
As part of the Erasmus+ project “Digital Powered Teaching,” a virtual training and workshop was held on October 23rd at 18:00 CET, organized by Cyprus (Perifereiako Gymnasio Akakiou). The session brought together teachers from partner schools in Romania, Greece, Croatia, and Cyprus with the goal of expanding digital competencies across a broader group of educators.
Workshop focus:
The session focused on integrating digital tools into Languages and Health Education, emphasizing:
- Actionbound – a platform for creating interactive learning experiences such as scavenger hunts and quizzes
- Quizlet – a tool for learning and revision through customizable flashcards and educational games
Key Objectives:
- Skill Development: Teachers were equipped with the ability to create engaging lessons using Actionbound and Quizlet.
- Lesson Planning: Demonstrations showed how these tools could enhance teaching units.
- Interactive Learning: Innovative methods were shared to engage students in Health Education and Languages.
- Assessment Tools: Interactive evaluation strategies using the presented platforms were highlighted.
Session Highlights:
- Designing interactive scavenger hunts with Actionbound.
- Facilitating flashcard-based learning and collaboration via Quizlet.
- Planning student workshops for the Cyprus mobility program.
- Preparing educators to assess students’ digital competencies through interactive methods.
The session successfully strengthened teaching techniques and laid a foundation for integrating innovative, digital methods into Erasmus+ student mobility workshops.
